The Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (RPCGB) is seeking a Community Planner to join our community planning team!
The Community Planner is an entry-level position that reports to the Senior Planner and Principal Planner, who serve as project managers. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented team players who possess the ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities with ease. Candidates must be curious, proactive, and resourceful critical thinkers with strong listening and communication skills and the ability to self-edit work.
Candidates should also have a working knowledge of key principles of city and regional planning, resiliency, and urban design. Experience in land use planning, comprehensive planning, and corridor plans are desired.
