Holiday Decorations, Public Property, and the Law
November 12, 2013 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Summary
The holiday season is coming soon and with it some tough decisions for local and state governments: Does the usual holiday display at city hall violate the U.S. Constitution? How should you evaluate the request from a new religious group to sponsor a public display? Do local regulations impact private holiday displays, and could they run afoul of the constitution too? Our experts will help you navigate the complex court decisions on these questions and create a fair and constitutional municipal strategy for the annual holiday wars.
