June 24, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
$169Summary
Too often communities struggle with achieving their development goals through Planned Unit Developments. As a result city planning officials question the value of planned unit zoning regulations. But, well designed planned unit development regulations and review processes can generate quality development that cannot be easily produced through conventional zoning.
This course will provide 10 key lessons on how to optimize local PUD regulations and review processes to foster high quality growth through planned development. The course format will feature interactive exercises and cases studies to help city staff, planning commission and council members perform their roles more effectively and gain confidence with the PUD approach and the positive results it can generate.
